10 monoprints from 2019
This project began with an antique letterpress printing block, depicting what looks to be the only restaurant in a small, quiet town.
Each print was made unique by using a one inch squeegee on an unblocked screen. Colors were layered on top of eachother in the same general area on each monoprint variation. The abstract color areas are finally tied together through the original block image, printed as the final layer.
